Almost all display today are designed using LCM technology. An LCM Modul display consists of 2 glass plates and a liquid in between. TFT Modules are also LCM module displays, only expanded by a color filter and active control via a transistor. There are many different versions: text, graphics, 7-segment and icon-based versions. The 7-segment module was an early form of LCM modules and was installed in calculators and watches.
